It begins with Malik and his sisters, Leila and Nadia attempting to enter the city of Ziran under false identites as they are Eshran, a group/race of people considered to be on the lowest rung of society. Told from Malik and Karina’s point of view, there is a lot to unpack within the plot. With a complex world full of magic and folklore, family and revenge, I have barely any complaints! In fact, it was such a good read I was left clinging desperately to its pages for more despite the lackluster romance plot between the two main characters, Malik and Karina. Perhaps one of the most anticipated books of the year, ASOWAR is worth the wait.
